Destination XL Group, Inc. Appoints James Reith as President

Canton, Massachusetts, September 20, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Destination XL Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:DXLG), the leading multi-channel specialty retailer of men’s clothing and shoes Big + Tall, today announced that James Wraith will do just that. He joined her team as Chief Marketing Officer on September 26, 2022. Mr. Reith has over 20 years of experience in marketing leadership with a particular focus on end-to-end retail, digital marketing, brand building and consumer insights. Prior to joining DXL, Mr. Reith served as Senior Vice President of Marketing, Bed Bath & Beyond, and Senior Vice President of Marketing, Macy’s, Inc. Prior to this, Mr. Reith was Executive Vice President, Head of Retail at BBDO (New York), a partner in McKinney, Chief Marketing Officer of Young & Rubicam and previously held senior leadership positions at agencies focused on retail clients. At DXL he will be responsible for the marketing organization, including overall marketing strategy, brand and consumer, creative, media, CRM and digital commerce. Mr. Reith holds a management degree from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, a bachelor’s degree from Western London University, Ontario, Canada, and is a member of the American Red Cross Board of Directors.

Mr. Reith will replace Ujwal Daut, the company’s current Director of Marketing, who has informed the company that he will be leaving the company effective October 11, 2022.

Induction Grant under Nasdaq Regulation 5635(c)(4)

Mr. Reith will join the Company on September 26, 2022 and, in connection with his employment, will receive an entry bonus of $200,000 in Restricted Stock Units (“RSUs”), to be awarded on October 7, 2022. The number of shares will be determined by dividing $200,000 by the price of The closing of the company’s stock on the previous trading day. RSUs will be awarded pro-rata in equal annual installments over three years, beginning with the first anniversary of the grant date. RSUs will be awarded outside of the company’s stock compensation plan approved by shareholders. The RSUs have been approved by the Board’s Compensation Committee, which is composed solely of independent Board members, as a material inducement for Mr. Reath to enter into employment with the Company pursuant to NASDAQ List 5635(c)(4).
