Tom Brady exempted from pirate practice due to ‘personal matter’

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady has been excused from practice today due to a personal matter. This led to a social media meltdown as fans thought something was somewhat fishy.

His absence came a few days after the Dolphins were disciplined by the NFL for tampering that included speaking to Brady on two separate occasions. Apparently, they spoke to him once when he was a Patriot. The other time happened when he was a pirate.

Many believe that the absence of a quarterback has something to do with this. The 45-year-old will reportedly not face any punishment for his involvement with the dolphins.

Just to put out a fire: Tom Brady was excused from practice today for attending a personal matter.

However, many NFL insiders quickly put out this fire. It was revealed that he had a personal issue that made him miss training.

This is the second time this week that the midfielder has missed a practice. Brady got a day off on Wednesday. Tampa Bay did not hold any training Thursday. The seven-time Super Bowl champion was absent on Friday.

For someone who absolutely loves to practice, missing out on so much time seems weird. Since we don’t know what his personal mission is (and we shouldn’t), it should be a reasonably important thing to keep him away from the team for the long haul.

Brady and Buccaneers aim high in 2022

Having been knocked out by the playoffs last season at home to the Los Angeles Rams, the Buccaneers are entering their new NFL season with something to prove. After winning the Super Bowl in 2020, Tampa Bay was unable to return to the penultimate game of the league last year.

In 2022, this feat could be somewhat challenging. Tampa Bay deals with injuries. Most notable is center Ryan Jensen, along with Chris Godwin, who is still on the way back from his AFC Champions League injury. There will also be no Rob Gronkowski for Brady.

However, many critics have the Pirates near the top of their Super Bowl accounts, simply because of his 45-year-old age. The team has already signed Julio Jones, and the former Falcons and Titans receiver has, by all accounts, looked exciting in practice so far.

The team that includes Tom Brady is always either a Super Bowl or a bankruptcy. That’s definitely the sentiment heading into the new season. With a new head coach at the Todd Bowles and a few different pieces in attack, Tampa Bay is little known on the offensive side of the ball.

However, when you have the greatest of all time under center, it needs to be set. Can pirates get their crown back from 2020? With a goat at the helm, you’d be a fool to bet against him.
